Sessions

Session 1 “Sarah, A Woman Who Chose to Believe God's Word”

- by Ruth Ann Wuthrich

Sarah had to learn what it means to take God at His word. Her chances for having a child had gone from poor to impossible. What brought Sarah from a place of doubting and unbelief to faith that glorified God? The answers to this question can benefit each of us as we also learn to take God at His word.

Session 2 “Mary, the Mother of Jesus: Will the Real Mary Please Step Forward!”

- by JoAnn Dyer

Mary is many things to many people. We will look at her life historically (Biblically) and spiritually. We will separate fact from fiction to see who she really is...a woman of faith, blessed and chosen of God to be the mother of the Messiah.

Session 3 “Bow the Knee”

- by a 18-voice ladies’ ensemble

This session will be a rich blessing to you as you listen to the beautiful blend of our eighteen voice ladies’ ensemble represented by five local assemblies under the direction of Mrs. Leah Bergquist. The songs sung will draw your attention to God’s loving and guiding hand, a reminder to “walk by faith and not by sight” and the challenge to “live to love Him more and bow the knee.”

Session 4 “How Can I Be Like the Women in Paul's Shadow?”

- by Amy Fagan

"The Bible mentions several women who influenced Paul's ministry. We will look at the characteristics Paul praises in these women and how they affected the Lord's work. Let us examine our lives and see what we can do to emulate these women!"

History

In the late 1980’s, a group of ladies had a vision to hold a seminar that would edify the ladies of The Church of the Open Bible and their guests. After much prayer and discussion, the first seminar was held on Saturday, February 27, 1988. In the past 22 years, several hundred ladies from around New England have been blessed and challenged in their walk with the Lord by godly women at this annual event.
